Nestling
in the foothills of the Himalayan range, Darjeeling grows this exclusive tea
at altitudes ranging from 600 to 2,000 meters. Unlike other tea regions,
which are lower in altitude and closer to the equator, Darjeeling has a very
limited harvest period. The cool and moist climate, the soil, the rainfall
and the sloping terrain all combine to give Darjeeling its unique "Muscatel"
flavor and exquisite bouquet. Over the years this fine, delicately flavored
tea has acquired the reputation as being the "Champagne of Teas."

Risheehat
(Clonal)
FTGFOP 1
Grown in the foothills of the Himalayan range at the famous Risheehat
estate, this second flush darjeeling offers a rich flavour profile and
nutty, grapey aroma of a fine darjeeling. The liquor is a beautiful
amber colour and the top flavour note is earthy, with a hint of
“nuttiness” and then finishes with the grapey “muscatel” and honey
notes. This teas does best with a 3-5 minute steeping. It’s strong
enough to take milk and/or sugar, but some of the grapey/honey finish
notes do fade. |
