Aged Oolong: A rare 16 year old high mountain (1600metres) aged oolong
grown, hand-picked and processed in the mountainous area surrounding
Nantou County, Taiwan. During the initial processing the dry leaf was
fermented (oxidized) more deeply than a traditional oolong, almost to
the same degree as a black (red) tea. The leaf has a deep, dark green
appearance and a “roasty”, rich aroma. When the leaves are steeped they
release a smooth, sweet liquor, with a distinct “toasted” flavour that
lingers on your tongue. These leaves can be infused multiple times
(4-5). This is a very rare oolong that will be appreciated by both green
and black tea drinkers!
